The walls of a small house in central Florida were adorned with a Christmas-inspired collection of household items, from tiny Christmas lights to Christmas tree decorations.
Owner Sarah Givens said the house is a home away from home.
“It’s just such a special place for us,” she said.
Givens bought the house for $300,000 in 2008.
It is located in a small rural community on Florida’s Atlantic coast.
She said she started decorating the house with a variety of household objects when she had to get rid of her two cats, and now she has more than 50 items that she said are the perfect gifts for her family.
“I’ve been looking for a Christmas theme for the past 10 years, and this is the perfect Christmas gift for my family,” Givins said.
“This is my Christmas tree.
It’s a tree that I built.”
The house has more decorations than the average family.
It has a giant Christmas tree, a Santa Claus, and other holiday decorations, as well as Christmas lights, a Christmas card, and a Christmas book.GIVENS said she wanted the house to be a holiday tradition, so she purchased Christmas trees, trees, and the house itself, as she said she is always on the hunt for more Christmas items.
“Christmas is an important part of our lives, and we wanted to celebrate it with this house,” Gives said.
